Return to progress.

These photographs were taken at 10 am on 21.01.2009. The entrance elevation is seen against a blue sky. The fore ground is now being prepared to form the entrance drive. Once the drive and pathway to the main entrance are completed, trees and shrubs will be planted to add landscaping, which will delineate the two contrasting elements seen from the road.

The structure and walls are being prepared to receive finish. The desired effect of a clean modern building contrasting with rustic surroundings is becoming a reality. The ornamental pool within the courtyard is now ready to receive glass fibre lining.

The pergola beams over the courtyard are ready to receive finish following which timber fins ill be installed to create a semi shaded area.
Six weeks from the beginning of December were spent back home with family celebrating Christmas and New Year and meeting or talking with friends and trying to keep warm! During my absence from Kovalam the contractor has, as arranged progressed the construction of water storage tanks for surface water, septic tank and soak pits, water lines within part of the structured garden etc. All the work bar a few minor details is satisfactory and am now in the process of obtaining the finishing materials.
